Bronx, NY- The 8th Annual Lady Choz Mecca H.S. Challenge, was a huge success! The motivation behind scholastic events are to provide competitive games in addition to exposure for the partaking high school prospects. The Mecca did just that, with coaches attending from the following conferences SEC, ACC, AAC, NEC, MAAC, Big Ten, Big East, MEAC, Big South, American East & Southern Conference. The 2018 Mecca hosted teams from NY, NJ, CT, FL, NC, MA, VA, PA & Canada. NYGHoops Report was on hand to cover the event from start to finish. This write up will focus on unsigned seniors that I feel can help a four-year college.
Astoria, NY- The Second Annual Coast to Coast Middle School Jr. All American Camp, was a huge success. To accommodate more participants in year two of this popular event, it had to be relocated to St Johns Prep HS, in Queens, NY. The skills evaluation camp was hosted by NYGHoops Report. But many other Scouts and media outlets were in attendance to take in the action at the one-day occurrence.
Classic in the Country Berlin, OH – Classic in the Country is a thrilling event which takes place in the Amish countryside of Berlin, Ohio. This tournament has taking place annually in January for the past 15 years. This year, NYGHoops Report got a chance to attend the magnificent event where multiple high school teams came out and competed. Here is a recap on some of the top performers and top freshman at the event.
Wilmington, DE- The 27th annual Diamond State Classic showcased 20 teams from NY, CA, OH, PA, NJ, MD and DE. NYGHoops Report got a chance to see 16 of the 20 teams play on the first day. These are some of the standouts from day one.
