Elizabeth, NJ- August 31st, NYGHoops Report took a trip over the Verrazano Bridge to catch some garden state action at The No Boyz Allowed league. The ultra-competitive league features most if not all the state's top high school teams in the state of New Jersey.
Rutgers Prep used its defense to hold STJV to 17, first-half points and never looked back. Rutgers Prep ’22 do it all point guard Leyla Castro finished with 9 Points. She controlled the action and made winning plays. Her backcourt mate, super soph ’24 Makayla Blakes (21 points) played light out on both ends of the floor. Two-time State player of the year, ’22 Madison St Rose (Princeton) finished with 20 points to lead STJV.
Chatham rode the hot hand of ’23 Riley Allen to Victory. The six-foot sharpshooter knocked down six three-pointers finishing with 25 points. RFH was led by crafty 5 foot 9, ‘23 Julia Corsentino with 12 points.

STJV uses ball movement and a balance attack to bounce back. 9 of the 12 players on the roster contribute points in the second game. Princeton bound Madison St Rose led the way with 20 points. Ashley O’’Connor 5 points, Julia Karpell, Ashley Sofilkanich and Cierra Cevallos each had 4 points. Sparta was led by junior do it all PG Ally Sweeny with 10 points and Uber talented 6 foot 1 junior Brynn McCrry G/W who had finished with 9 points.
