Top 2022’s
Parris Clark5’08 G (Long Island Lutheran, NY 2022)
Clarks 28-point performance was sensational Saturday night verses a talented Whitney Young team out of Chicago. What fascinated me the most about her performance, was her poise and ability to score in the closing minutes of a tight game. Down the stretch she was trustworthy ball handler who made plays.
Reyna Scott 5’08 G (Nazareth regional HS, NY 2022)
Scott has a nice all-around game that was on display all weekend long. She knows how to play the game the right way and does all the little thins to win the game. A bit too much unselfish at times, but as she matures, I’m sure she will learn how to take control. She showed the ability to score on all three levels, the smooth lanky combo will be the face of Nazareth for years to come.
Breauna Ware 5’07 PG (The Mary Louis Academy, NY 2022)
Ware had a huge weekend, especially on Monday. She was always in attack mode. Down the stretch her and her sophomore backcourt mate carried the team taking turns. Her footwork, physical strength, ball handling and ability to get her shot off over taller players was showcased. Coaches take notice of that if you are looking for a shot maker who can run a team. Look no further as she continues to develop.
Jade Campbell 6’01 F (Medgar Evers College Prep, NY 2022)
Campbell may not be a familiar name to the main stream. She has measurables that allows her to play multiple position in the front court. She is a flued and agile rebounding rim protector. Campbell has a ton of upside to her game as the skill sets increase. Every time out she seems to get better and better. During her lone game at the Rose Classic Super Jam she easily recorded a double-double.
Aalyah Del Rosario 6’05 P (Long Island Lutheran, NY 2023)
Aalyah Del Rosario is a name you should not forget. The future Power 5 post has all of the intangibles that project well. As she gets stronger her shot will become more consistent. But for now, the effort, confidence and ability to catch ball in traffic where all displayed. From the last time I saw her in October she has made another huge jump playing against older players. She is an effective rebounder that can also protects the paint.
Amarah Streiff 5’11 W/F (Bishop Ludden, NY 2023)
Her size, strength and skill sets all are very advanced for an 8
thgrader. Streiff displayed some perimeter touch as well as the ability to play around the rim. She exhibited a knack to finished through contact, and her ability to get to the free throw line. In the lone game I got to see her play against St Mary’s, she finished with 12 points & 12 rebounds and was on the floor during the closing minutes of a tight game.
