Bronx, NY- last week Friday, the 3rd NYG Northeast Super 64, was held at Harry S. Truman HS. In the past four years this event has housed players of various skill levels, from McDonalds All Americans to Division 3 role players. The 4-hour long event provides a platform for players to participate in skill work as well as be evaluated by college coaches. Below are some of the top performers for the camp.
Khya Hough 5’7 PG (The Mary Louis Academy, NY 2021)
The Empire Blue Flames floor general, played poise with her decision making. She displayed a nice first step and was at her best in attack mode during 5 on 5 play. True NYC style PG, tough to take the ball away from her and crafty headed downhill.
Arianna Seawell 6’2 F (Harry S. Truman HS 2021)
This Hooper’s NY product may be the sleeper in the 2021 class in NYC. Seawell much known for her post play during the high school season revealed that she is much more than just a back to the basket player, at time showing flashes of her perimeter skills during camp.
Morgan Lee 6’4 P (Kent School, CT 2022)
Lee is another member of the Hoopers NYteam. Strong body post who showed nice touch from the perimeter. Nimble for her size, rim protector and good feel for playing both facing and with her back to the basket. Huge upside.
Dayna Tirado 6’1 F (Northern Valley Demarest HS, NJ 2020)
Tirado will be playing with Team Rio, in July. Coming off a knee injury, she looks like she’sback to 100%. First thing that jumps right out at me during camp in her ability to score from the mid post.
Jany Legagner 6’1 W/F (Valley Stream Central HS, NY 2020)
This Rosedale Elite wing was a relatively unknown to me walking into the camp. However, it did not take long to realize who number 50 was. The long lean wing was very effective making plays for herself off the bounce. Effective at the rim, mid-range and out to 15-feet.
Anna Eng 5’5 PG (Croton Harmon HS, NY 2021)
Showed maturity, craftiness and understood when to push and when to pull back. Moved without the ball and showed range out the arc.
Daniella Matus 5’5 PG (2025)
Jianna Davneiro 5’2 PG (2025)
Ellie Cerf 5’2 PG (2024)
Brooke Brean 5’4 PG (2025)
