G-Thing All-Star Classic 2017

 
Linwood, NJ- The 4 ^th Annual G-Thing All Star Classic took place in the  Atlantic city (NJ) area, and gave us a glimpse of the future in the Northeast. NYGHoops Report was in the building to provide coverage of both games 2021 and 2022’s, these are some of the standouts for the game.
 
 
 
Destiny Adams 6’01 W (Manchester HS, NJ 2021)
 
Smooth athletic wing that can play either forward position. Won MVP of the 8 ^th grade game, showed range to the three-point line and also displayed the ability to play with her back to the basket.
 
Ella Fajardo 5’05 PG (Immaculate Conception, NJ 2021)
 
I’ve had the opportunity to see this kid play a few times. She sometimes gets over looked because of her fundamental worker like approach to the game. Ella was a very important peace in her north team victory finishing with 13 points while also connecting on three three-pointers.
 
Kayla Thomas 6’02 F (Bishop Ireton, VA 2021)
 
Thomas may have been the most dominant defensive presence in the 8 ^th grade game. Thomas ability to alter shots and rebound are evident. She shows flashes offensively, but as she continues to develop her offensive game her defense can be her calling card.
 
Kennedy Fauntleroy 5’06 PG (MD Finest 2022)
 
Fauntleroy stood out because of her ability to score the ball. She won the MVP award in the 7 ^th grade game finishing with 24 points while connecting on three three-pointers. She got to the rim and free throw line and will. Even though she stands 5 foot 6 she was able to score verses taller players in the paint.
 
 
Saniaa Caldwell 5’10 G (New Jersey Sparks 2022)
 
While Always playing up in age divisions, I finally got to see her play with her age group. She did not disappoint finishing the game with 21 points. Caldwell scored on three levels and showed the ability to play multiple perimeter positions. She did a good job rebounding form the guard position and knows when to score and when to distribute the ball.
