Marlboro, NJ- On the weekend of Sept 19th, 2021. We hosted the 6th Annual NYG Super 64. As in years past, we got an opportunity to watch what some might call “under the radar” prospects. Here are some of the High School players that stood out at our most recent event.
100 Kayleeigh Heckel 5’8 Guard Port Chester HS, NY 2024 (Empire Blue Flames)
Heckel picked up right where she left off at the end of this summer. While not yet a household name, the three-level scorer made things look effortless during camp. The sophomore guard got into the lane at will and drew plenty of fouls.
94 Aiyanna Culver 5’4 PG Christ the King HS, 2024 (NY Renns)
This lefty was a dynamic offensively weapon during the fall Super 64 camp. She likes to attack defenders off the bounce and is crafty when utilizing a live dribble. Displayed range to the arc and as a streaky scorer she can get hot real quick.
9 Mia Little PG Ithaca HS, NY 2023 (Elmira Fusion)
A scrappy guard who really played well during her time at the Super 64. Her ability to score while attacking the basket provided her enough space to knock down the three-ball. In our eyes, this was a quasi “break out” camp for Ms. Little for in addition to her personal success, she did a nice job get others the ball in scoring positions.
13 Arianna Davis Combo 5’5 St Francis Prep HS, NY 2025 (Castle Athletics)
I was very familiar with her heading into camp, I’ve seen her several times at the middle school level. It was nice to see her competing against high school level players. Davis is a combo guard that plays at her own pace. Competes at both ends, efficient scorer with range to the arc. As she continues to develop, she will be one of the next St. Francis Prep H.S. D1 prospect.
14 Gissel Gamble 5’5 PG Life Center Academy, NJ 2023 (Team Miller)
This was my first time seeing her and she did not disappoint. Nice first step, crafty ball handler that got into the lane with relatively ease. Possessing nice shooting mechanics which allows her to “show off” her ability to shoot beyond the arc. As a camp “Top 30” participant, I fully expect the masses to hear her name throughout the upcoming year as she takes the floor for Life Center Academy (NJ).
Goode will be the next scholarship prospect out of Rochester power program Bishop Kearney HS. The freshman guard showed no fear playing against high school level players. During the camp she used her perimeter shooting ability to catch the attention of many during 5 on 5 play. She may have been one of the best in game shooters at the camp and specially form behind the arc.
She had a terrific day at camp. Left us impressed with her ability to spread the floor, play multiple positions, and score from all levels. As she continues to develop physically and skill wise - I see her stock continuing to rise.
63 Mia Gestosani 5’7 Guard Mount Saint Mary Academy NJ (Jersey Panthers) 2025
Gestosani, as a wing guard, was really impressive. This young yet smooth player is blessed with a scorer’s mentality but displayed a willingness to “feed her teammates” as well. As an aggressive guard she kept the defense on their heels which allowed her the opportunity to get off her jump shot.
145 Faith Walker 6’0 W/F West York Area H.S. (Team PA Showcase) 2024
Standing at an even six feet, Walker has good from the 3pt line. Defensively, due to her size and athletic ability she was was able to get her hands on a lot of basketballs on defense. Being athletic, she displayed the ability to guard and play multiple positions such skills will be an asset as she continue to develop as a player.
Campbell was one of the most athletic front court players at the event. During camp she did a nice job working the boards on both ends of the court. Wonderful eye hand coordination, soft hands around the glass ability to push the ball in transition.
147 Marisa Smith 6’2 Johnson City HSW/F (Elmina Fusion) 2024
I was not familiar with her going into camp, but left quite impressed. On the defensive side of the ball this fluid forward prospect protected the lane extremely well. On the offensive side of the ball, Smith run to the floor and finished layups in transition and operated just as well out of the pick & roll as in the pick & pop. Nice stroke 10 to 12 feet. She will be a name to remember form upstate NY.
146 Paulina Vlahakis Stamford High School 6’3 Post (CT Fillies) 2024
Paulina was the surprise of the camp. As a bigger post you would thing, she would just overpower everyone. But she played more like a point forward, with her nice feel for the game finding cutting teammates for easy baskets.
Played multiple positions during camp. Sinclair may not look the part but consistently found ways to make good basketball plays time in time out. More of a scorer that a shooter, she consistently found ways to get the ball through the net.
51 Carolina Williams 5’6 PG Ichabod Crane Central School (Team McBride) 2025
Williams brings pace and tempo to the backcourt position. Ball handler that can get into the lane and create or score. Exhibited poise for a young guard, even hitting a buzzer beater at the end of Half of 5 on 5 play. Range to the arc reminds me of a young Dolly Cairns (URI).
