This weekend, some of those players gathered in Central New Jersey with the NYG Hoops crew for a well-established annual event, the Coast 2 Coast All-American Camp. As the sun rose the morning after two amazing Final 4 games, we tossed the ball up and went to work with over 150 middle school players who have their eyes on being the next big thing. We could not have picked a better day for this year’s camp, and just like the tournament, these ladies brought it!

Now for the grand finale, the class of 2025! We previously profiled the 2027/2028 group and the midday 2026 sessions in prior articles, so it’s only fitting that we close with the mega-session of 2025 players that closed out the 2021 NYG Hoops Coast 2 Coast All-American event.
The summer between 8th and 9th grades, as players transition into their first year of high school basketball traditionally, is a crucial time for development and growth. As these youngsters start to enter their “recruiting years” as high school underclassmen, their hard work and dedication starts to pay off and create some separation from the pack.
We saw so many players who are on the right track and poised to have a big spring and summer with the club teams. The 2025 group was nearly twice as big as the other groups at the event, so there was plenty of competition to witness.
Standing at a strong 6’2, Priyanka Ponnam looks like she should already been playing against high schoolers, and the versatile forward would have done just fine in that setting. As tough as she is to box out or to defend in the paint, it’s her ball handling and three-point range that really wow’s you. Ponnam’s game continues to stretch and expand in all the right ways, and we look forward to seeing her with her Philadelphia RISE team this summer.
Power Move’s Meghan Yarnevich is another force to be reckoned with, inside and out. The crafty, scrappy, physical lefty always finds a way to get it done and stuff a stat sheet, and when you have a 6’2 kid with a motor and mean streak like hers, your team has a chance. It’s hard to believe she’s only in 8th grade, and she’s always fun to watch.
Another Philadelphia Belle who played really well is 5’11 wing Grace Galbavy. A combination of ball skills and that long wingspan make her quite a prospect, and she’s a shot maker too. She doesn’t force things, and yet she makes a lot of the right plays and decisions seamlessly. Her future is certainly bright.
Hailing from the great state of Connecticut, look out for 5’7 New Heights guard Emma Olausson. She really understands pace and space, and when you sprint the floor consistently like she does, good things are going to happen. A diverse range of finishes and silky-smooth jumper give her quite a scoring arsenal. There’s more to come with this one.
Staying with the New Heights program, we liked what we saw from 5’10 forward Maya Abramson, who is really going to catch some eyes in the near future. Abramson has a strong frame, and showed the ability to drive from the perimeter and knock down pull-ups off the jab in the high post. Add to that her energy to consistently run the floor and willingness to bang inside on D, and you have a player that is well on her way.
The DMV was well-represented in the 2025 class here in New Jersey, and Elevate Elite’s Amori Jarrettcontinues to take things to another level. Jarrett is quite the athlete on the perimeter at 5’8, and she has that glide to her game getting to the rim that can’t necessarily be taught. The hang time is legit, and not only is it useful on offense, but she is smacking away a few shots on the defensive end as well. The trey ball is getting better too, which is going to make her that much harder to guard.
We will close with a handful of other 2025’s who showed well this past weekend…
Tiyara Gonzalez, 5’1 Point Guard, Team Providence, RI Angelina Tirado 5'7 Guard, New Jersey Sparks, NJ Anari Winston 6' Forward, Lady Prestige Elite Grace Lanier, 5’5 Guard, New Heights, NY Veralyn Aviles, 5’6 Guard, New Heights, NY Aleah Bracey 5'7 Guard, Bay State Jaguars, MA Kayla Navarro, 5’5 Point Guard, Team Rio, NJ Carrington Thomas, 5’11 Wing/Forward, K-Low Elite, PA Payton Dulin, 5’6 Guard, Positive Direction, NY Jessica Kolecki 5'8 Guard, Philly Belles, PA Jordanna Schrecker 5'7 Guard, Staten Island Stingrays, NY Grace Lanier 5'5 Point Guards, New Heights, NY Ava Black 5'11 Wing Bay State Jaguars, MA Megan Jacoby 5'5 Guard, Mid Penn Motion, MA Shani Clark 5'11 Wing, NY RENNS, NY Tatianna Collins 5'9 wing, NY Sparks, NJ
This entire event was loaded with young players who are taking the steps right now to be the next big time players in high school and college basketball. Every year, the NYG Hoops C2C All-American Camp is a passport of sorts to the next level, the next page, the next journey for these girls. We look forward to chronicling their success along the way! See you in the gym!
