Session 1 Recap & Standouts
Saturday Feb 13, 2021 - Rock Hill, SC
Carolina Girls Hoops Report and NYGHoops have come together again and have invited players from the class of 2025 - 2030 to Rock Hill, SC for a day of skills/drills and games. The first session of the day gave 40 players an opportunity to showcase their abilities and skill level and how they do in a team setting with 5 on 5 play. The skills and drills portion was led by Gary Williams of ABC Lightning (NC) and he worked with a great group of coaches and trainers to provide an environment where the players can get loose but also showcase their level of skill to the evaluators in attendance. When we started game play some of the players rose to the occasion and shined in their own ways, this group was filled with some outstanding players, I will highlight a few that stood out during session 1.
2025 - Guard - Sanai Cole (NC) - Strong framed lead guard that was able to get hot in game play, attacked the rim and showed outstanding perimeter defense, high motor and skill level.
2026 - 6’1” - Forward - Janiya Milligan (NC) - Versatile player that showed inside & outside scoring ability, strong ball handler that will be a matchup problem, player to watch nationally in her class.
2025 - 5’5” - Guard - Delilah Soltys (SC) - Shifty lead guard that was outstanding on the defensive side all day long, crafty ball handler with scoring ability at all 3 levels on the court.
2026 - 6’1” - Forward - Natavia Alber (TN) - High motor forward that protected the rim but also showcased a strong ability to handle the ball and get to the rim, a huge ceiling on her growth.
2025 - 5’6” - Guard - Gabrielle Matthews (NC) - Strong framed combo guard that showed the ability to run the team but also get her scoring in as well, Great shot form and ball handling ability, High IQ player.
2027 - 5’5” - Guard - Tristan Shivers (NC) - Quick, aggressive combo guard that made her presence felt in 1 on 1 competition, used a variety of moves to score on players of all sizes, skilled ball handler and finisher in traffic.
2025 - 5’7” - Guard - Kamryn Kitchen (NC) - Extremely athletic player that used her length to create opportunities on the defensive side, combo guard that loves to get her teammates involved.
2027 - 5’0” - Guard - Cimora Rorie (NC) - Skilled, efficient scoring guard that looked to get herself involved early and often, fearless when attacking the rim and showcased great shot form and range.
2025 - 5’8” - Guard - Jasmine Nivar (NC) - Explosive scoring guard that was able to attack in the open court or in half court sets, High IQ player that has great vision and passing ability.
2025 - 5’6” - Guard - Breonna Roaf (NC) - High Motor player that loves to compete on both ends of the floor, combo guard that was able to get her points at all 3 levels throughout game play.
2025 - 5’8” - Guard - Kate Sears (NC) - Highly skilled combo guard that likes to share the ball and get her teammates involved, an outstanding shooter that can finish in traffic.
2026 - 5’5” - Guard - Brianna Stanley (NC) - Shifty combo Guard that was able to use her quickness to her advantage on both sides of the court, strong ball handler that was able to attack the rim, high motor and IQ, perimeter defender.
2025 - 5’5” - Guard - Kennedy Leggett (NC) - Great shot form and ability to get her teammates involved, plays with great pace and has great vision and High IQ. Very unselfish player that gave up the ball to teammates multiple times during game play to get them in the scoring column.
2026 - 5’8” - Guard - Laney Shook (NC) - Skilled combo guard that showed an ability to make difficult shots during game play, made the right plays and was able to get others involved throughout the day.
2026 - 5’7” - Guard - Asia Burton (NC) - Combo guard that has a high skill level and ability to break down defenders 1 on 1 - Lefty shot maker that has a high IQ, vision and passing ability.
