Hampton, VA – NYGHoops Report got a chance to attend session 1 of MADE Hoops East Coast winter circuit. The two-day event had teams participating from NY, NJ, MA, MD, VA, NC, MI, VA, DC and FL. From the games I got to see, these are the prospect I felt had the best weekend.
M.V.P
Sydney Savoury 5’11 (W) Canton, MI 2027- Michigan Storm
While not a house whole name yet, just wait. She has optimum size; skill sets and a motor. Savoury plays all five positions at this level. But her skill dictate that she will be a wing or guard at the college level. Elevates on jumper, has range to the arc, one of the most explosive performers during the session.
All Session Team
Jordyn Jackson 6’1 (G) Washington, DC – 2026 Team Takeover
Jackson is just one of those players that does not need a labelled position. At this point she can play all five positions and was at her best doing whatever the team needed. Sometime that was isolation at top of the key or operating from the mid-post. Jackson's ability to make plays and knock-down shots combined with her size makes her an asset.
Ryan Carter 5’9 (G) Glenside, PA 2027 - Philly Belles
Been watching Carter develop as a wing for the past few years. I left session one just as impressed with her as she is now playing the lead guard for the 4-0 belles. Size allows her to play over smaller guards. She splits defenders and attacks in half-court, nice mid-range jumper and ability to get to the line. Carter will be a top 100 prospect.
Jaida McClure 5’8 G(G) Charlotte, NC 2026 Queen City Ballers
McClure made it look easy. She was in her element, and it felt like everything she put up went in. Nice combination of size, strength, ball handling, passing, and shooting range. During the weekend she was hands down the top scorer and was efficient about it. The combo guard will be attending Providence Day School next year and I can’t not see her being one of the top prospects of her class in the state of NC.
Olivia Vukosa 6’4 (P) Whitestone, NY 2026 – Philly Belles
In middle school, usually if you are bigger than everyone else that’s the talent. In Big O’s case, that’s not it. The New York native shows some ability to play in the post, creating early post positioning and sealing off defenders. She did a nice job attacking and finishing with both hands passing out of the double team. But what makes her special is the ability to play facing the rim and her touch from the perimeter that extends to the arc.
Jessi Moses 5’9 PG Penn Valley, PA 2027 Top Notch Lady Ballers
Literally, I feel like I’ve watch Moses grow up. This time last year she was a few inches shorter, and not as physically developed. Session one, she looked ready for High School. She attacked the rim drawing and finishing throw contact. Played both on and off the ball, equally as effective, displayed range to the arc and competed at both ends of the floor. This is a name to remember.
Aliza Murray 5’5 (CG) VA 2026- BWSL
Efficient scoring combo guard that looked equally comfortable scoring or running the team. Smooth operater, that does what she does and make it look easy. Score that can make shots, gets into the lane can finish over big’s and finish with contact.
Sophia Brooks 6’1 (F) 2026 Team Takeover
First time seeing this prospect, the TTO 2026 team is so loaded I’m not sure she was even a starter. But it did not take long to see that this kid has a future in this sport. She brings front-court versatility, she can play both facing as well as with her back to the rim. Did a nice job rebounding and starting the break, blocking shots and it feels like everything she put up went in.
Nyair McCoy 5’1 (PG) Washington, DC – 2027 Team Durant
This was my first time seeing her, let’s start by saying she was fun to watch. She has the ball on a string and got wherever she wanted on the court. Scoring point guard, that can take control of a game and keep teammates involved. She competed at both ends of the floor she reminded me of a young Aliyah Matharu (Texas).
Tough, competitive combo -guard with scorers’ mentality. Quick release, deep range (NBA) efficient shooter that will make you pay for going under screens. Put up big numbers with limited shots on a talented team. She reminds me of a young Dara Mabrey (Notre Dame).
Nariah Nelson 5’10 (G) Bonaire, GA 2026 – Team Elite
Strong powerful south paw combo guard. Nice blend of power/ agility and ball handling skills. Got to her spots at will displayed range to the arc. Was equally as effective running half-court set as in transition.
Lyla Coogen 6’1 (F) Washington, DC 2026 – DC Premier
Smooth athletic combo forward that plays mostly facing the rim. Nice touch from 10-12 feet, runs the floor well. She uses her length well in defending. As she adds strength in the future this will be a name to remember.
