Mooresville, NC – In collaboration Carolina Girls Hoops & NYG Hoops report bought you the 4th Annual I-77 Evaluation Showcase. Like in years past the event was loaded with future NCAAW players of all levels.
110 Zamareya Jones 5’6 PG FBC United Family (NC) 2024
Jones was a legit offensive weapon during the two-day camp. Shifty handles, combined with hesitation moves worked freezing the first line defender. Allowing her to get into the lane at will, where she either created for teammates or scored herself. She played with a chip on her shoulders as if she was not one of the top prospects at the camp or the state. Three level scorer that takes competing seriously.
38 Mila Holloway 5’8 G Carolina Flames 16EYBL (NC) 2024
This was my first tine seeing Holloway, she did not disappoint. Mila, a silky-smooth combo that lets the game come to her. She utilizes her tight handles to get to her spots to score. Holloway also showed some defensive grit and played passing lanes well. I’m not sure what her recruiting looks like but I’m sure she will end up in at a power of 5 school.
11 Miya Giles Jones 6’0 Wing Fayetteville Starz (NC) 2023
This was Giles-Jones third or fourth year back to I-77. Each year she has added to her game. This year you can tell she has been working on her jump shot. In years past she just penetrated and attack downhill, overpowering small guards and simply dribbling around less nimble Forwards. This year she used her pull up jumper as well as more skill.
60 Trinity Moreland 6’2 F Team Curry 17U (NC) 2022
After showcasing her ability for two days at I-77 Evaluation Showcase. It was pleasant surprise that Morland has not yet committed. The left-handed forward displayed the ability to play free throw line extended as well as with her back to the basket. She pushed the ball to start the break, has a nice feel for passing the ball, did not shy away from physical play and rebounded on both ends of the court.
115 Dorrionna Howard 6’01 W/F Flames 17U EYBL (NC) 2023
I did not know much about her prior to camp. The athletic combo forward did a bit of everything during the two-day camp. Quick first step off isolation, can get to the rim and finish with either hand in traffic. Howard showed range to the three-point arc. Came up with double digit blocks in 5 on 5 play day two of the camp. Her best basketball is ahead of her.
34 Tamya Hutchinson 5’4 PH HS H2 Lowco (SC) 2024
Point guard who excels playing at a high pace. She likes to keep the pressure on the defensive end. Plays with a lot of confidence and is not afraid to make the big play. She attacks the defender and knows how to draw fouls. Off the dribble she is dangerous due to her solid handle as well as her ability to turn the corner and explode.
