Hampton, VA- On the final day off the of the April live recruiting period Clifton Park, NY resident, Sydney Brown of Shenendehowa HS. Got a final chance to remind the college coaches why she’s one of the premier capital region 2017 prospects, as she closed down her final day in the Championship game of the Pat Williams Bracket at Boo Williams.
I got a chance to connect with Brown through her AAU coach Randy Wright. The 6-Foot, athlete enlightened me, “I’ve always loved basketball and have always wanted to play in college, I can never imagine not playing; I started playing in the second grade.” After putting together, a very impressive junior campaign (24-3), shooting 50 percent from the floor and 81 percent from the free throw line while averaging a double double (13 points & 11 rebounds).
Brown who was asked to play the post during her HS season. But looked very comfortable playing both forward position during the evaluation period. When asked what is it that she is looking for in a school, the Athletic Brown was quick to say “I Just want a school that will fit me both academically and athletically” but she goes on to say “I like a fast pace style of play.”
I was informed she currently being recruited
by GWU, Princeton, UPenn, Albany, St Joe’s, Marquette, Loyola, Towson, American & Georgia Tech. But holds offers from
Stony Brook, St Bonaventure, Hartford, Canisius & Manhattan.
