Youth movement at Deep South Classic 2017

Raleigh, NC- Week one of the NCAA certified viewing period. NYGHoops Report set up shop at the ASGR 19 ^th Annual Deep South Classic for all four days. The event hosted over 400 teams from the US and Canada. This recap will focus on middle school players. If you feel you are left out, no worries I will see you in the future. However, the names below are the prospects that I got to see first-hand.
 
Caroline Daucharme 6’01 G MCW Starz 2021
 
Again, a player that I am very familiar with from the Blue Star 30 fraternity. An older, stronger, Daucharm is a scary site. Known for her perimeter skills and shooting touch, this weekend Daucharm also showed the toughness and ability to play in the lane. Hands down this will be a BCS top 10 player.
 
 
Sherese Pittman 6’00 G/W CapCity Ballerz 2021
 
I was familiar with her from my March Madness event. But wanted to check her out verses older players. Pittman did not disappoint, at my event she played mostly in the lane area. This time around she flaunted the ability to play on the perimeter. She will be a name to remember in the very near future.
 
Timia Ware 5’04 G Mac Irving Fire Black 2021
 
Explosive combo guard that has the “it” factor. Explosive and crafty getting to the rim, plays with a swagger and confidence needed at the lead guard position. Ware showed range that extended to the three-point line. This will be another future Mac Irving Fire Star.
 
Chniya Clark 6’01 F Florida Future 2021
 
For sure future D1 post player. Big framed post with soft touch, can play for power and finesse when needed. Nicknamed Shaq, effective rebounder that did a good job protecting the basket.
 
Destiny Adams 6’02 W/F NJ Shoreshots Sabino U14 2021
 
Skilled versatile player who showed the ability to play facing up and with her back to the basket. The athletic combo forward showed enough ball handling skills to help start transition as well as helping her team when they were being pressed.
 
Brianna Turnage 5’11 W/F Mo YoungGunz U15 2021
 
This was my first time seeing her, nonetheless I was so impressed I went back to see her play again. Listed ae 5 foot 11, her length and leaping ability allowed her to play as if she was 6 foot 2. She played both with her back to the basket and facing up. Was at her best in transition. As she continues to develop her skill set she can be a scary.


Aisha Dabo 6'00 W NYC Gauchos 2021 

Long lean athletic wing that played up for the Lady Choz. She played mostly inside in the paint on a smallish team. But at times flashed out to the wing and demonstrated the ability to handle, see the floor and knock down mid range shots. Dabo also displayed a willingness to rebound. 


Olivia Miles  5'10 PG United NJ 2021

I almost forgot about Miles, she played so well throughout the event. I forgot she was only in the 8th grade. Playing up as starter in the U17 division, Miles lookeed very confortable running her team and picking her spots as a scorer. As a young guard she supprised me with her ability to guard, rebound and scorer against the older players.
