Hudson, OH- This past Saturday, Western Reserve Academy housed the NYG / She Hoops Midwest Super Showcase. The first-year event hosted Cleveland area prospects primarily. The forty-seven participants literally put on a show for the college coaches and evaluators who attended. Below are some of the standouts from the event.
Constance Chaplin 5’09 G (Euclid OH, 2019)

Strong athletic play maker with scoring mentality; physical off the bounce, attacks, draws contact and delivered in traffic. During the event at times she made it look easy even earning the nickname PS3.
Deleah Gibson 5’06 G (Shaw HS, OH 2018)
Wire built lead guard that competes at both ends.. Slippery attacking the rim, deceptive lefty, primarily operated off the bounce, showed ability to knock down mid-range jumpers. Although listed as 5 foot 6, came up with multiple blocks throughout the day.
Lauren A. Williams 5’11 W/F (Solo HS, OH 2019)
Strong, tweener forward, agile interior prospect with emerging perimeter offensive game; mismatch creator, physical, active on the boards. Looked comfortable posting out but also stepped out and scored off the bounce and as well as on mid-range shots.
Jada Austin 5’05 PG (Twinsburg OH, 2021)
Play making PG, ball handling and vision, see floor in transition and managed game in half court. Did her share of scoring but was also effective driving and dishing.
Delenna Harper 5’06 PG (Euclid HS, OH 2018)
Fluid solid prospect, quick flourished in transition when left open connect on a few threes. Throwback floor general type.Good defender that played passing lanes came up with steals and deflections.
Larnae Vance 5’07 G (Luther HS, Ohio 2019)
Combo guard that backed never backed down form any challenge during the event. Use her size, athletic and toughness adding the rim. Active both on the break and in half court sets. Has good one on one skills and finished with contact.
Laurne Tere 5’07 G (John Jay HS, OH 2019)
Hard noise guard that plays bigger than her listed size, tremendous rebounder that created offense of the bounds. Defended several positions at a high level. Was most effective playing within the arc, in transition and attracting fouls.
Aleeona Robinson 5’7 G (Shaker Heights Middle School 2022)
Nice size guard that fit right in with high school kids. Solid strength, athletism and skill sets. Was very effective off the bounce but also showed some range to the arc. Was so impressive for a young buck had to pull her a side to make sure she was in junior high.
