Elite 48

Lady Basketball Insider (NC) - Hosted their annual Elite 48 Individual Showcase on Sunday September 9 at Carolina Courts (Concord) - I was able to attend the event and watch the 100 participants from the 2020 - 2026 Classes - I have highlighted a few of the players that stood out to me.

2022 - 5’7” - Guard - Anala Nelson - Lower Richland HS (SC) - SC76ers - Athletic, Lead Guard that can add scoring in a variety of ways, plays well in transition, High level ability to find players and get them the ball in position to score, Floor leader, that has consistent mid range shot that can stretch to 3pt line.

2023 - 5’5” - Guard - Mia Xerras - Alexander Graham HS - 1Dream - Established as 1 of the top players in her class in NC - Scoring Point Guard, utilizes her crafty handle to attack and dish off the dribble, Great form and consistent 3pt shooting range, Fun to watch.

2021 - 5’7” - Guard - Alesha Wade - Clover HS (SC) - Team Loaded NC - Uptempo Combo Guard that can score in bunches, good ball handler, physical guard that loves to attack the basket, great in pressure situations, strong frame and physical perimeter defender, great form and distance to beyond 3pt line on jumpshot.

2021 - 5’10” - Wing - Reigan Richardson - Cannon School - Boo Williams - Athletic, High IQ player that can play all 3 Guard positions, Highly Skilled with a Variety of Offensive moves, Shooting Range to beyond 3pt line, Competes on both ends of the floor and can take over a game because of her ball handling, vision and passing ability, 1 of the Top Prospects in 2021 Class in NC.

2023 - 5’8” - Guard - Aniyah Scales - Kennedy Middle School - Lady Aces 2023 - Skilled Combo Guard, Slasher that can attack off the dribble and finish with contact at the rim, Consistent Mid Range jumpshot that she can stretch to beyond the 3pt line, Great footwork and Long arms make her a problem on the defensive side.

2020 - 5’7” - Guard - Jamia Blake - South Pointe HS (SC) - 1Dream - Athletic lead Guard that has a College ready frame, Strong ball handler that uses her frame to attack the basket and can finish in traffic, Perimeter defender that has outstanding court vision and passing ability, Great form on Jumpshot, range to 3pt line, Floor leader.

2024 - 5’3” - Guard - Kiara Croskey - Alice Drive MS (SC) - SC76ers - Smooth ball handler that can operate multiple positions in the backcourt, Crafty and uses her great footwork to get in to the lane to score or dish, very good perimeter defender, Great shot form and range to 3pt line, plays both ends of the floor, great vision and passing ability.

2020 - 6’0” - Wing - Randria Anderson - Legacy early College (SC) - Lady Team SC - Extremely Athletic wing player that can also play other Guard positions, Slasher with the ability to rise above defenders when attacking the rim, good ball handler that adds a consistent jumper and strong perimeter defensive skills.

2025 - 5’4” - Guard - McKenzie Graves - Durham Academy - Team Felton - High IQ, Skilled player that shows that she has spent a lot of time in the Gym, Combo Guard that is a strong ball handler but also can fill it up from behind the 3pt line, great form and consistent range, Vision and passing ability.

2020 - 5’11” - Wing - Audrey Meyers - Cardinal Newman (SC) - SC76ers - Versatile Wing that can add interior scoring to go along with High level shooting ability, Great shot form and range to beyond the 3pt line, High IQ, Rebounds in traffic and good ball handler.

2023 - 5’7” - Guard - Jyana Salton - Matthews Charter School (NC) - Clt Monarchs - Athletic, Up-Tempo Guard that loves to attack of the dribble, great vision and passing ability to go along with strong handle and advanced moves makes her a joy to watch, Great form and range on jumpshot, Rising up to be 1 of the top players in 2023 class.

2020 - 5’8” - Guard - Dane Bertolina - Charlotte Catholic - Team Phoenix Busby - Skilled Perimeter Defender with great footwork, uses strong ball handling ability to create shots on the offensive side, great shot form and range to beyond 3pt line, ability to knock down shots on the move or set shot equally, High IQ.

2024 - 5’3” - Guard - Trinity vance - Legacy Early College (SC) - SC76ers - High IQ Combo Guard, Crafty ball handler that uses it to set up teammates for open shots or knocks it down herself, finishes with both hands, strong shot form and Consistent Mid-Range Jumper.

2021 - 5’2” - Guard - Caroline Swartz - Hough HS (NC) - Lady Phenom - High IQ Lead Guard that makes everyone on the floor better, Great vision and passing ability, loves to attack the rim in transition and half court sets, Consistent shooter with great form and range, Floor Leader that is “tough as nails”

2023 - 5’8” - Guard - Zoe Henderson - Piedmont Middle (NC) - Lady Aces 2023 - Athletic, Long, Guard/Wing Combo player that uses a strong handle to attack the rim but also can really shoot the ball, great form and release on her shot, range to beyond 3pt line, High IQ and Plays both ends of the floor.

2021 - 6’0” - Guard - Michelle Ojo - Ardrey Kell HS (NC) - NC Spartans - Extremely Athletic, Skilled player that uses her leaping ability to rebound in traffic and above taller players, plays very well in the transition game, likes to attack the basket and uses her consistent mid-range jumpshot to keep people honest. Finishes with both hands and is an excellent defender on the perimeter and interior, 1 of Top 2021 Prospects in NC.

2024 - 5’8” - Wing - Skyla Tuthill- Banks Trail MS (SC) - CLT Monarchs - High IQ, Skilled player that can stretch the Defense with a consistent Shooting form and Range to beyond 3pt line, Good ball handler that can get into the lane and use her size to finish in traffic, 

2021 - 5’8” - Guard - Neveah Caldwell - Hopewell HS (NC) - FBC YounGunz - Highly Skilled, Athletic Scoring point guard that can operate as primary scorer, Likes to attack off the dribble and operate in the lane to pass or score, Shooting range that extends beyond 3pt line, strong perimeter defender that can create offense from steals and deflections, 1 of the Top Prospects in NC 2021 Class.

 2020 - 5’10” - Wing - Evan Miller - Ardrey Kell HS (NC) - NC Spartans - Athletic, Skilled player that can play really well in the transition game, likes to attack off the dribble and can Shoot the ball with great form and consistency from Mid-Range to beyond 3pt line, Long arms and great footwork make her an asset on Defense

2021 - 5’5” - Guard - Kennedy Calhoun - Hickory Ridge HS - 1Dream - High IQ, Skilled Lead Guard that can also score from the lane or beyond the 3pt line, Crafty ball handler and able to create space for jumpshot or attack the basket with hesitation move, Tough, High level perimeter Defender.

2022 - 5’4” - Guard - Layla Wall-Gibson - Vance HS (NC) - NC Hornets - Skilled Combo Guard that likes to use her smooth ball handling ability to attack the rim, High IQ and ability to read defenses, moves very well without the ball, Great court vision and passing ability.

2022 - 5’2” - Guard - Katelyn Dunning - Mount Paran Christian School (GA) - Team Elite - Skilled, Athletic Guard that loves to get crafty with her handle and attacking moves in open court, Strong frame and ability to finish with contact at the rim, Great footwork and perimeter defensive ability, 

2026 - 5’6” - Guard - Jaida McClure - Northside Christian Academy (NC) - Queen City Ballers - Elite level player for her age group, has been playing 3 yrs up against Club/AAU teams, Scoring Lead Guard with a solid frame, Strong ball handler, High IQ, Has put the work in and it shows in her floor game, The # 1 Player in her class in NC...

2020 - 5’5” - Guard - Payton Sutton - Butler HS (NC) - 1Dream - Skilled Lead Guard that knows how to control the pace of play during the game, Strong ball handler and court vision, Gets the ball in teammates hands in position to score, Great shot form and Consistent Mid-Range shooter, range to 3pt line, Perimeter Defender.

2020 - 5’10” - WIng - Laimani Simmons - Legacy Early College (SC) - Lady Team SC - High Level player that can play all 3 Guard positions, Athletic Slasher that can finish in traffic with both hands, Strong ball handler, with court vision and passing ability that can get going from beyond the 3pt Line, Great form and consistent mid-range shooter.

2020 - 5’9” - Wing - Jeriel Nesbitt - TW Andrews (NC) - Bluestar Carolina - Strong frame and Physical Wing that likes to attack the rim and can finish in traffic, Slasher that can pull up for the Mid-Range jump shoot and knock it down from deep, High Level perimeter Defender that can Lock down the average player.
