GREENWICH, CT- Day one of the inaugural New England Prepatory School Athletic Council, Girls June Scholastic Event was a huge success. This three-day showcase event took place at the Sacred Heart Greenwich school athletic facilities. Day one only hosted half of the participants, these are 10 prospects that caught my eye.
Lexi Thompson 5’7 CB St Andrew School 2024
She was never really the most physically imposing prospect on the court. However, Thompson showed production between the lines was much needed for her St Andrews team.
Caterina Ravosa 6’3 (F)WMA 2026
Nice size can put it on the floor for her size. Mixes things up with her ability to play both facing up and with her back to the basket. Displayed range to the arc.
Peyton Forde 5’6 PG The Harvey School 2026
Mostly known for her ball handling and ability to attack off the bounce. A late addition to the event, Peyton made the most of her opportunity showing some ability to playoff the ball and stretch the floor by knocking down some perimeter shots.
Rylie Rosenberg 5’3 (G) Hosaac School 2024
Smaller combo guard, more of a 2 than a 1. Has range beyond the arc. Three level scorers, with no fear can make plays with the clock winding down. Did a nice job day with balancing scoring and deferring to some talented teammates.
Tiffany Burns 5’8 PG Austin Prep 2027
Athleticism and quickness with the ball in her hands was second to none. Combine that with her ability to squeeze into tight spots and finish through contact. Burns competed on both ends of the floor but as she continues to develop this will be a name you will hear a lot about in the New England area.
Alanna Phillipo 5’9 (G) Marianapolis Prep 2024
While I did not know much about her prior to attending the event. I left impressed with her after one day. She played all three perimeter positions and competed at both ends. Did most of her damage attacking the rim. Would have love to see some more perimeter shooting. But for sure a division one athlete.
Jovanah Coston 5’8 CB Beaver County Day 2027
This is another prospect I knew nothing about walking into the event. But it did not take long to figure out she was talented. The rising freshman was equally as effective on and off the ball but was at her best attacking downhill to the rim.
Alannah Morantus 5’10 (G) Cushing Academy 2027
Bigger lead guard with wing like size. Can create her own opportunities but was equally as effective sharing the rock. Smooth, has a feel for the game, lets the game come to her. Exhibited range to the arc, she will be a name to remember.
Hannah Richardson 6’1 W Hoosac school 2024
Point forward type nice size, frame, and skillsets. Nice feel for the game, can play in the high post or low past. Creates size mismatches and takes advantage of smaller players. Three level scorer Swiss Army type.
Eva Wilkerson 5’7 (G) Sacred Heart 2025
Never hurts to wear some NYG hoops gear to an event. Wilkinson was stopped rocking her NYG Middle School Coast 2 Coast Shorts form a couple of years ago. However, soon as she hit the floor the slender built guard wasted no time making her mark. Wilkerson provided an efficient scoring punch for Sacred heart. Most her damage was done attacking the basket busk she did knock down enough perimeter shots to keep the defense honest.
