Westfield, IN – NYGHoops Report got a chance to travel to the Hoosier state to catch many of the nation’s top rising high school freshman & eight graders. At the 8th Annual Bluestar 30 event.
#42 Qandace Samuels 6’1 (G) Team Takeover 2027
This was her time the Bluestar30 camp, and again just like last year she took her game to a whole new level. Samuel’s size and athleticism in the backcourt creates a huge advantage that allowed her to get her may all weekend long. Three level scorer that will be attending Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland.
#34 Ivanna Wilson Manyacka 6’1 (G) BBA, Maryland 2027
Smooth, fluid and athletic… Acceleration, speed and strength all in one package. Ivanna already has the physique of a collegiate player. The uber talented rising freshman reminds me of a young Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream). Special player that can get her shot off whenever she wants to. Can play 1-4, She is a match up nightmare she will be attend the Bullis School this fall.
#2 Ashley MacCalla 5’11 (W) Exodus NYC, New York 2027
I am very familiar with this young prospect. She is a tremendous athlete with good feel for the game. Presented the ability to play multiple positions over the weekend (1-3). Was equally as effective in 3x3 as well as in 5 on. Left really impressed with her newfound ability to play on the ball as well as her ability to knock down perimeter shots.
#33 Sabrina Anderson 5’8 (G) Elevate Elite, Virginia 2027
Skilled, poise and efficient are some of the first words that come to mind when thinking of ways to describe Anderson’s game. Fresh off a 3SSB 16u Championship with her Elevate Elite team, she did not disappoint during the weakened. Combo guard that packs a scoring punch from all three levels.

#48 Nation Williams 6’2 (F) MW Premier EYBL 2027
I knew very little about Williams coming into the event. But it did not take long to see she was an alpha type. Tough, competitive, versatile perimeter prospect with tweener forward game. Physical, did a nice job on the boards, handles, good feel in the passing game. Double- double threat every time out. Reminds me of a young Betnijah Laney (NY Liberty) in High School.
One of the top players from a talent rich 757 (Virginia) area. The combo forward, is one of those players with a high ceiling. In years past she did most of her damage 5 to 10 feet from the rim. During camp flaunted her newfound ability to knock down the three-point shot. As she continues to develop, her perimeter skills it’s safe to say she will finish her high school career in the top 25 of her class.
#8 Taylor Brown 5’6 (PG) Philly Rise, Pennsylvania 2027
Crafty confident young floor general that brings it on both ends of the floor. Plays fast but not in a hurry, athletic lead guard deceptive off the bounce gets into the lane at will. Plays bigger than listed size, can score when needed but can also run a team. Efficient three-point shooter.
#55 Finley Parker 6’2 (F) Southeast All Stars, Georgia 2027
I did not know much about her coming into camp. But it did not take long to notice her ability to score from the perimeter. Combine her size, skill sets, and shooting touch, you can’t see her not being producing at the next level. She may have been one of the top shooters at camp hands down.

#4 Amirah Jordan 5’6 (PG) WV Thunder, Kentucky 2027
Jordan was one of the premier lead guards at camp. She played bigger than her listed size. She was able to score in a variety of ways. Nice first step, that allowed her to always stay a step ahead of defenders. She kept the ball on a string. Amirah did a nice job balancing scoring and sharing the ball during camp. She reminds me of a Crystal Dangerfield type PG.
Madeline had herself a nice weekend. Not flashy but very effective and efficient. Exhibited the ability to score off the bounce and finish though contact. Nice shooting touch, range and mechanics. Showed some ability to play the 1-3 in camp. But the next level more of a scoring 2-3.

#50 JaKaila Gaskin 6’3 (F) Crown Academy, North Carolina 2028
Gaskin is an Elite athlete for a player of her built. She can hold her on when switching on to guards, has the lateral agility and quick feet to keep up. Soft hands, willing to battle on the interior.

#47 Sydney Mobley 6’2 (F) WV Thunder, Ohio 2027 Skilled interior forward with perimeter skills to match. Can operate in the post and already has some counter moves. May have been one of the most skilled interior players at camp. Reminds me of a former Michigan WBB player Naz Hillmon.
#34 Ashanti Taylor 5’10 (G) Crown Academy, North Carolina 2027
Athletic off guard, explosive off the bounce, and can finish plays in traffic. Quick first step attacks the rim, finishes through contact. Sleeper that makes plays and plays bigger than listed size.
