Philly, PA- The 3rd Annual Girls All City Classic presented by Philly USA took place on May 27th at Imhotep HS. The classic consisted of an underclassmen and a upperclassman game that was divided into a city team and a suburban team. Here are some of the standouts from this year’s classic.
Adrianna Hahn 5’07” PG (Ursiline Academy, DE 2015)
The Delaware high school girls basketball icon did not disappoint in the city of brotherly love. She put on a shooting clinic during the game knocking down seven three-point shots while finishing with 23 points and winning the MVP Award in the upperclassmen game; Hahn did not lose herself in her hot hand. The Villanova bound guard did a good job sharing the ball with teammates.
Deja Reynolds 5’08” G (Imhotep HS 2015) Pictured
Is a very explosive combo guard that can flat out play on or off the
ball. Reynolds did a great job attacking the basket and showing her ability to handle the ball. She has a good IQ and is a solid defender with quick hands. Reynolds came up with a few steals and finished the game with 12 points and also won an MVP Award in the upperclassmen game. (TEMPLE)
Tatiana Jones 5’09” W (NorristownHS, 2018)
Jones is a nice framed wing player. She did a great job rebounding on both ends of the court. She did most of her damage by attacking the rim, rebounding, and defending. As she continues to develop her perimeter skill she is definitely one to keep and eye on. She walked away with 13 points and an MVP award for the underclassmen game.
Maura Hendrixson 5’07” G (Cardinal O’Hara2018)
Hendrixson isn't a flashy player at all she's actually one of the more
efficient players. She moves well with out the ball and is a knock down shooter. Hendrixson won MVP in the underclassmen game as she finished with 11 points while knocking down three three-pointers.
Ciaci Cryor 5’05 PG (Neumann-Goretti 2015)
Cryor is headed to Georgia Tech, and was very entertaining to watch. The high motored Cryor, was her usual self. Creating off the bounce driving and dishing or driving and scoring. She could have easily been named MVP of the game scoring 22 points while connecting on five 3-pointers.
Mikayla Vaughn 6’03” P (Friends Central HS, PA 2017)
The southpaw long and mobile Vaughn definitely stood out on this day. She did a good job finishing around the rim and finishing through contact. Vaughn rebounded, altered shoots, and ran the floor well. Vaughn showed a few more things that indicates a BCS basketball player.
Ashley Jones 5’07” PG (Cheltenham HS, 2017)
Jones played with a swag that set her apart. She played on and off the ball and was equally as effective at both positions. She showed the ability to knock down the three-point shot; she displayed the strength to over power her way into the lane, and the quickness to get past defenders. She did a good job at driving, drawing and dishing to open teammates for easy buckets. She finished with 9 points.
Hanna Nihill 5’04” PG (Cardinal O’Hara 2017)
Nihill is a smallish floor general that just got it done whether it came to a finished attack on the rim or using both hands. When Nihill was left open she knocked down her shots. She finished with 9 points.
