Middle Schoolers
Wyckoff, NJ- On New Year’s Day NYGHoops Report collaborated with Tri-State Classic to offer a New Year’s Open Run for Lady Hoopers. This “boutique style” event housed a middle school session as well as a high school session where each session accommodated up to 24 prospects.
Eleni Kapsokavadis 5’10 G (St. Francis Prep, NY 2022)
Kapsokavadis, had herself a strong showing during the open run. It is obvious, she was working during quarantine as a result, she maybe one of the most improved players in the state of New York.
Eleni, scored “on the catch”, “off the dribble”, “in transition” and from mid-range quite honestly she did everything except take the garbage out during the event.
Grace Lanier 5’5 PG (Middle School, NY 2025)
Without any reservation, I love Grace’s toughness and ability to get into the lane at will. Her “Patrick Beverly” style of play separate her from the pack as well as her calm demeanor on the offensive side of the ball.
Skye Hunter 5’8 G (Middle School, NJ 2025)
Although she is a 2025 athlete, Skye already possesses a high school ready body. In addition, her skill set allows her to make wise decisions on the court. Currently, she, as a dependable ball handler, thrives in transition, yet has the ability to be a three level scorer in the future. If i were you, I would store this name away this kid will be a top 100 player in the nation.
Jordyn Jackson 5’11 G (Middle School, NJ 2026)
Jackson’s length, size and athletic ability created mismatches throughout the entire day. While not yet a household name she will be a top 25 player nationally during her high school career - mark my words.
Sophia Maldonado 5’9 G (St. Francis Prep, NY 2024)
Maldonado has a good feel for the game. The crafty efficient scoring guard continues to improve each time out. She is a “no brainer” as the next D1 guard out of St. Francis Prep High School.
Ellie Cerf 5’5 PG (Catholic Central, NY 2024)
Talented pint size lead guard who can score when needed. Terrific spot up shooter with some range and great reactive hoops instincts. At times she had her way, future D1 player worth tracking.
