DMV event for Junior High female ballers. The invite only event was hosted by Bluestar Media's Lisa Bodine, who packed the gym with players from the Classes of 2018, 2019, 2020 and even a 2024 in
Kiyomi McMiller.
Chole Chapman 5-7 PG 2019 MD United Lady Ballers: Long Lean body type, Wizard like ball handling skills, quick first step that got her into the lane at will. At times she played as a facilitator but showed a scoring mind set.
Malu Tshitenge 6-1 2019 MD Team Takeover: Solid Framed Wing/Forward build. Her frame and game reminded me of Myisha Hines-Allen, attacks off the dribble, finishes at a high percentage, nice mid-range shot, lefty(,) good ball handler and facilitator.
Amira "Mimi" Collins 6-3 2018 MD Team Takeover: long Strong framed athletic Post, ran the floor well finished in transition, played mostly facing the basket using her first step, did not shy away from contact, rebounded and blocked shots.
Mikayla Pippin 6-1 Forward 2018 MD Baltimore Star: Long Strong build(,) forward prospect, she was not afraid of contact nor physical play, did the dirty work defending and rebounding, has added perimeter shot from 10-15 feet, even hit a 3 point shot during the showcase, plays very hard.
Lauren Park-Lane 5-3 PG 2018 Philly Belles: vocal floor general that can score, shooting range that extended to the three point line, fearless and has a swagger about her.
Jasha Clinton 5-6 G 2020 Norfolk Xpress: Skilled scoring guard that may grow into a wing prospect, Long Lean but strong body type, showed the ability to knock down the spot up three point shot, handled the ball well and never shied away from competition.
Rachael Stovall 6-3 P/F 2018 BWSL Richmond : Big framed Post/Forward, showed very soft hands, offensive minded, did more facing up with mid-range jumpers and from behind the ark, showed the nimbleness and finesse to put up floaters.
Jasmen Walton 5-10 W 2018 Maryland Lady Tigers: long lean body type, It took her a bit to get going offensively, but she made her mark right away on the defensive end blocking shots and rebounding. Walton played very hard and finished in transition.
Samatha Brunelle 6-1 W 2019 BWSL Richmond (BCS) Nice frame long, strong, skilled forward/Wing that can play inside out, range to the three point line, finished with both hands, played with back to basket effectively, showed natural basketball instincts.
Jakia Tucker 6-0 W/F 2019 Team Takeover: Long Lean wing prospect, slasher that made her presence felt in transition.
Olivia Turner 5-8 G 2019 Philly Belles: solid build, guard that demonstrated an all-around game, handled, shot the ball, rebounded and defended. Made nothing but smart decisions with the ball.
Kayla Spruill 5-11 W 2018 Baltimore Lady Supreme: Long Lean wing, slasher, spot up 3 point shot, athletic.
Taylor Clayborne 5-8 Guard 2018, Maryland United Lady Ballers: Strong build, attacked off the dribble finished strong to the rim.
Jasmine Dickey 5-10 W/F 2018 Maryland Lady Tigers: Long a Lean Wing/Forward, Very active on the boards, blocked shots, very athletic, scored on put backs, filling the lane, hustle plays and from the free throw line.
Asia Deal 5-8 G 2018 BWSL (Mid) 15 strong built guard, scorer, shot the three ball Effectively, need to sharpen ball handling to be effective.
Excellence Greer 5-9 Combo 2019 Team Takeover: Strong built guard that is wired to score, she uses her mid-range J, step back J, pull up J and when need just attacked the basket
Taylor Clayborne 5-9 Guard 2018, Maryland United Lady Ballers: Strong built frame, attracted off the dribble finished strong to the rim.
