Fort Mills, IN- Last weekend NYGHoops Report got a chance to take in a day of hoops in the Hoosier State at The Future is Female National Showcase. The boutique-style event was split into two sessions of over 40 prospects per session. It did not take long to recognize how much talent was at this event. But as soon as the 5 on 5 action tipped off the level of competition rose to an even higher level. The event housed several national level prospects that soon will become household names. This write-up will focus on some of the stand-outs during the first session.
#18 Ryiah Wilson 5’6 Point Guard South Bend, IN 2025
While I did not officially keep stats during 5 on 5 play. However, if Wilson did not finish first in steals, I’m sure she finished a close second. Wilson turned her defensive efforts into easy transition buckets. The young guard was vocal on the defensive end and did a good job keeping teammates involved while still able to get her’s. She has a quick first step that allows her to get by defenders with ease.
# 20 Madyson Elliott 5’9 Guard, Memphis, TN 2025
Elliot traveled from Memphis TN. She wasted no time making sure you knew exactly who number twenty was. Plays bigger than her listed size, was at her best attacking the basket. She was not afraid to mix it up on the defensive end, also show some ability to block shots from the guard spot. Showed some ability to connect on the three-ball, but more of a scorer than a shooter.
# 21 Aniah Smith 5’01 PG Avon, IN 2025
Smith was one of the smallest guards at the camp, but her play spoke for itself. Efficient scorer, that also took good care of the ball while running the PG. She did not shy away from contact, scrappy, and also showed some ability to knock down shots.
# 28 Whitney Stafford 5’6 Guard, Delaware OH 2026
Stafford, a nice smooth point guard that plays at her own pace. Nice stroke, level three scorers high IQ. Finishes at the rim head always up looking to get something going. She may have had one of the better shooting days of the entire camp.
# 61 Allahnah Gilbert 6’2 Forward Fisher, IN 2025
While at times it’s a bit difficult to evaluate forwards at a camp. Gilbert did a nice job running the floor keeping herself involved in a guard-oriented game, However, it did not hurt that she displayed some ability to handle the ball in getting the break started. Catches well and does not shy away from contact.
#64 Ariyanna Cradle 5’5 Point Guard, Columbus OH, 2026
Man, this Columbus guard reminds me of Ohio State Point guard Kateri Poole. Fun to watch and does a bit of everything. Can get into the lane with ease, but also displayed NBA range on her shot. Does not shy away from contact, displayed the ability to play on and off the ball at a high-level during camp.
