New Brunswick, NJ- The 2017 Rising Blue Star series called Rutgers Prep its home this Sunday; where 30 plus student-athletes laced up their ball sneakers. The campers worked with many of the most experienced high school and grassroots people around. These where some of the standouts from the camp.
Destiny Adams 6'01 W (2021) New Jersey
Adams was as good as advertised, the future frontcourt player displayed many guard like skills. Make no mistake she also showed flashes in the post, solid footwork and ability to finish with contact, efficient scorer type.
Ava Learn 6'01 F (2021) New York
Learn was one of the most skilled, confident and liked prospects at the camp. The native Orange County prospect has much to like going forward. Her shooting touch, size, competitiveness and IQ were all on display at the camp.
Kaitlyn Orihel 5'09 G (2021) Pennsylvania
The tough hard noise combo guard was very effective slashing and finding the open spots to score. It was a great day for the PA baller. What Orihel was able to do during the camp was as impressive as any guard in attendance at the camp.
Zaria Lewis 5'08 G (2023) New York
She was one of the biggest surprises of the camp. The chiseled built guard competed during the skills sessions. But when it was time to play ball, she took her game to another level playing verses bigger and older players.
Christina Whitehead 5’10 G (2021) New Jersey
Enjoyed watching the future St. Johns Vianney H.S. guard compete at RBS. Whitehead had quite a day both during the drills as well as competitive play. The fundamentally sounds, scrappy hard noise guard it more than just a three-point shooter.
Sydni Scott 5'08 PG (2022) Pennsylvania
Julia Laguna 5'08 G (2022) New York
Saniyah Glenn 6'00 W (2022) New York
Teaghan Flaherty 5'11 G (2020) New York
Kayla Bedford 5’07 G (2022) New Jersey
Katherine Donahue 5'09 G (2022) New Jersey
Christina Dalce 6’10 F (2021) New Jersey
Olivia Wooten 5’06 G (2021) New Jersey
