New Jersey – Due to a snowstorm this year the 6th annual NYG Coast 2 Coast Jr. All American camp ended up at two sites. The first site Monroe NJ was on the original date. The Mt Laurel, New Jersey ended up being a make-up date. Both dates ended up having talented future NCAA WBB prospects. Below are some of the participants that stood out during camp.
Ryan Carter 5’9 Guard, Pennsylvania 2027
I’m going on record and saying Ryan Carter’s is one of the top 25 players on her class. I’m not sure what position she projects at now but she plays 1-3 at a high level. At NYGC2C, she was able to score at will, but what took her over the top was her ability to continually connect on perimeter shots.
Madison Kocis New Jersey 2026
Kocis is one of those players that used COVID to her advantage. Always known as a good shooter, looks like she took the time off during the pandemic to tighten up her handles. Kocis showed up and showed out at both of NYGC2C for her age group.
Jessie Moses 5’8 Guard, Pennsylvania 2027
Did not take long to realize she was one of the top talents during her session. At times she looked so smooth it seemed as if she was gliding through traffic. I’ve literally watched this young prospect grow in front of my eyes. Last fall at the NYGSuper64 in PA she was listed at a generous 5’ ft 3. One of the key attributes I enjoyed analyzing in her game, was her ability to keep teammates involved.
Stella Lockhart 5’11 F New Jersey 2026
Some may see Stella’s size as the asset. But as I watch her play, I realized quickly that that was not the case. She has guard like skills and good feel for passing the ball and range that stretches to the arc. Lockhart’s best basketball is ahead of her she is a walking double, double with tons of personality on the court.
Collen Besachio 5’11 W Pennsylvania 2026
Collen can easily be overlooked. Not a flashy player but very efficient and a stat sheet stuffer. Her calling card during her time at NYGC2C was her ability to score / shoot. Nice size, ok rebounder and nice feel for running the lanes. Her range extends beyond the arc.
Josephine Pinnock 5’6 PG New York 2027
Classic NYC style point guard, good luck trying to take the ball away from her. Nice combination of size and strength. Josephine is a typical coach’s kid that plays the game both on the court and in her head. Does a nice job communicating on the court and is inter changeable as a lead or 2 guard.
Ava Fajardo 5’5 PG New Jersey 2026
Southpaw lead guard known more for her scoring. However at NYCC2C she did a really nice job balancing between scoring and setting the table for teammates. Fajardo flaunted range beyond the arc. As well as the ability to score on three levels.
Athley Vabesko 5’9 G New Jersey 2026
Athley may end up being one of the top surprises for this class in four years. Vabesko does a bit of everything. Very efficient player that can play the lead role or the side kick and quietly put up numbers. During she did a nice job sharing the ball and revealed some slick handles.
Jacylah Goode 5’11 W/F Connecticut 2027
Nice combinations of size skills and coordination. Front court player with size and a perimeter skillset. At this point she is more a tweener forward. Reminds me of a young Autumn Teasdale of the NY Gauchos. I would keep an eye out for this CT Prospect as she continues to develop.
Kendra Foy 5’7 guard, Connecticut 2027
Did not know much about this young lady prior to camp. But Foy, did a nice job during camp. Created some havoc jumping passing lanes, scoring both in transition and within the flow of the game. Athletic wing/ guard. She knocked down enough from the perimeter to keep you honest.
