Bethlehem, PA – NYGHoops report took the show on the road last weekend hosting NiYG Friday Night Lights at Bethlehem Catholic in the Lehigh Valley. These are some of the players that caught my eye.
26 Jayla Williams 5’11 (New Jersey, 2028) Williams is an athletic, physical, and agile wing who plays bigger than her listed size. She did a nice job balancing between scoring and distributing to open teammates. Jayla, displayed range to the arc and was highly effective in drive-and -kick situations. Needless to say she had a very strong performance at NYGFNL she left it all out on the court.
92 Giuliana Huaranga 5’10 (New Jersey, 2029) Giulian is a future wing/guard that had just started to scratch the surface of her talents. Huarange, provided the same effort on the offensive end as she did on the defensive end. Swiss army type knife type that does a bit of it also Provided some shooting from behind the arc.
23 Bella Super 5’7 (Pennsylvania, 2027) Super is an efficient scoring combo guard that can light it up. I got a chance to see her a few weeks prior to camp at Hoop Group, NJ Jam Fest. During NYGFNL, Bella did a very nice job shooting from behind the arc. You can catch her playing with TEAM PA 2025 during the evaluations period.
60 Palin Coleman 5’11 (Pennsylvania, 2028) Coleman is a prospect that I’m very familiar with from past NYGHoops Events (NYGSuper64 / NYGC2C). But again she did not disappoint with her performance at NYGFNL. Compose, versatile asset on both ends of the court. Showed the ability play in catch and shoot situations as well as playing off the bounce. Nice feel for the game, that allowed her to make plays when she had the ball in her hands.
99 Ava Kopetski 5’8 (Pennsylvania, 2026) This was a local evet for the Liberty High School star. She did not disappoint right from the start of camp doing a nice job in skills & drills. Which helped her transition into both 3x3 and 5vs5 sessions. Catch her this July with Team Northeast.
21 Avaughna Gordon 5’5 (Pennsylvania, 2029) Gordon did a nice at the NYGFNL. This was my first-time seeing Gordon. But, It did not take long to see she can play. While not flashy she is very steady and effective. Gordon’s flaunted a nice-looking jumper with some range to it.
59 Tess Tryansky 5’7 (Pennsylvania, 2029) This young, Penn Fever (AAU) prospect did a great job although camp. The Smooth, athletic, three level scorer thrive in transition but was equally as effective in half court sets.
70 Aliyah Brame 5’8 (Pennsylvania, 2026) Brame is a prospect that checks all the boxes as a true hooper. The lefty rising junior guard will never blow you away with fancy play. She does whatever is needed to help the team win. And during NYFNL her team needed some scoring and that she did.
22 Kailani Hardy 5’9 (Pennsylvania, 2027) Prior to camp I got a chance to see her twice in the previous two weekends. Hardy can flat outshoot the basketball. Very efficient player that not only provides shooting also provides scoring in bunches. You can catch her playing with Berks Panthers
87 Bri Duque 5’8 (New Jersey, 2028) The Team Sharp guard was a late addition to camp who wasted no time making her mark. The strong guard did a nice job slashing and attacking the basket. And was equally as effective sharing the ball.
39 Kennedy Cole 5’7 (Pennsylvania, 2026) Hard nose two-way player that makes plays on both ends. On the defensive end Coles applied on ball pressure and did a nice job playing the passing lanes, offensively she flourished both during 3x3 and 5vs5. Providing leadership, scoring and playmaking for others, Youn can Catch he rplaying with Team DAPA (AAU).
https://www.instagram.com/p/C9SJN4zxmL2/ 52 Makayla Sullivan 5’11 (Delaware, 2026) This was my first-time seeing Sullivan. The medium built combo forwards did not shy away from contact, provided some ball handling, rebounding and some shooting touch with range out to the arc.
