Brereton to Atlantic Sun

2020 Summit Academy 6 foot 2 Kiana Brereton has found her next home. As Brereton committed to NJIT and 2nd year Head coach Mike Lane over the weekend. The Senior forward is currently averaging 14 PPG, 7 Rebs & 1.6 assists for the fourth seeded Summit Academy as they prepare for the PSAL AA playoffs. The campus is beautiful and the chemistry with the team and coaches is amazing; I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering. “

Last week NJIT was spotted at the Nicole “Slinky” Michael Showcase in Brooklyn taking in her game. The future engineer goes on to say “After I sat down and had a conversation with the coaches. They told me about how important education is to them and that I would be challenged. I would be challenged on the court and in the classroom. That’s how I knew NJIT was for me. I would get to do two things that I love, playing basketball and learning.”

 NJIT is getting a long lean face-up European style forward with with range to the arc, her length combined with her skill will serve her well at the collegiate level.
