IE Junior All American Camp - 2018

I was able to attend the 4th annual Jr All American Camp hosted by Insider Exposure, located at HW Cox Community Center, Memphis, TN.  The camp welcomed 180 young ladies from 25 States from across the Nation. I will be paying attention to the Middle Schoolers in this piece and identify the group that I thought was very impressive and displayed a great level of skill.

 

Top Performers

 

• 2022 - Kristen Roche - 5’6” - Guard - GA - FBC Hoopsters Brown -  Athletic guard that showed the ability to play both ends of the floor at a high level.  High IQ - great shooting form and range to beyond 3pt line.

 

• 2023 - Jada Williams - 5’6” - Guard - MO - Missouri Phenom - High Motor and extremely competitive playmaking guard.  Athletic and highly skilled player that Can score at all 3 levels. Can run the team and play off the ball, great elevation and arc on jumpshot.

 

• 2023 - Samantha Wagner - 6’0” - Wing - TX - SA Finest - Highly Skilled player with court vision and instinctive passing ability. Rebounds in Traffic and has ability to score on the interior and perimeter equally at a high level.

 

• 2022 - Reyna Scott - 5’6” - Guard - NY - Gauchos - Impressive player with a high level of athleticism and offensive scoring ability, plays on both ends of the floor. Has some NYC Swag to her game, plays the passing lanes very well.

 

• 2023 - Kyla Bryant - 5’6” - Guard - NC - NC Team Xpress - Lead Guard that showed court vision beyond her age, utilizes hesitation dribble and wants to get everyone involved in the offense.  Can score in traffic and has good form on her shot. Good frame and balance, defensive skills.

 

• 2022 - Reghan Grimes - 5’9” - Forward - TN - Team B-Wright - Forward that has ability to slash to the basket off the wing, good ball handler. Has the ability to score with back to basket or on mid range jumpshot. Unbelievable rebounder in traffic and against taller players.

 

• 2023 - Laci Steele - 5’9” - Guard - OK - Hoopsters 2023 - Combo Guard that plays really well in the transition game, great court vision and passing ability.  Athletic and loves to get to the rack but also can pull up for mid-range jumper or from distance.

 

• 2022 - Chloe Williams - 5’11” - Wing  - NC - Carolina All stars - Big Guard with scoring ability from all 3 levels - great shooting form and range beyond arc. Good ball handler that can play all 1 - 4 positions on the court. Great footwork and defensive ability.

 

• 2022 - Amauri Williams - 6’3” - Post - AR - TN Flight - Strong player with great understanding of where she is on the floor, very impressive footwork for a player her size & age. Showed ability to handle the ball and get out in transition. Huge upside!!

 

• 2023 - Mia Xerras - 5’6” - Guard - NC - Team Felton - Playmaker that can run a team and also operate as primary scorer. Court vision is unbelievable and loves to distribute from in the paint. Consistent mid range and 3pt shooting ability. Crafty ball handler and passer.

 

• 2023 - Ayanna Jackson - 6’0” - Wing - IL - IL X-citement - Long/Rangy Athlete with strong defensive skills, runs the floor very well and can convert in transition. Good ball handler that attacks the backboard on rebounds, developing jump shot.

 

• 2023 - Cori Allen - 5’9” - Wing - TN - TN Flight - Skilled player with Guard skills and interior scoring abilities.  Great court vision and passing abilities, frame is rugged and can take contact on the boards and going to the rack.

 

• 2022 - Karley Johnson - 5’9” - Guard -  OK- OK Swish - Great court vision and ball handling abilities, pass first lead guard with good overall skill set.  Plays off the ball very well, moves in space and creates easy shots for herself and others.

 

• 2022 - Aunisty Smith - 5’10” - Forward -  OK - Team Pink - Presents Inside & Outside scoring abilities equally, has great rebounding instincts and court vision.  Worked very well in transition, knowing when to rim run or float to her shooting spots.

 

• 2022 - Trinniti Matthews - 5’8” - Wing -  MO - Missouri Phenom - Slasher with strong shooting form and handle, likes to get into the lane, created extra opportunities with Off rebounding. Can operate from High post to pass or shoot, long arms add to defensive ability.

 

• 2022 - Tykara Harrison - 5’8” - Wing -  IL - IL X-Citement - Showed great ability to knock down shots and extended range to beyond arc. High Motor and quick feet that showed on both ends of floor. Came to compete and has High IQ.

 

• 2022 - Samya Brooks - 6’1” - Forward - MS - Memphis Elite - Very strong rebounder that has a good handle and can put it on the floor from the wing. Developing shooting ability beyond the mid range and has very good interior defensive footwork.

 

• 2023 - Anaya Muhammad - 5’5” - Guard - SC - Team Fokus - Strong shooting form and knows how to create her own shot utilizing screens, range beyond 3pt line. Understands spacing and where people need to be, good vision and passing ability.

 

• 2022 - Cydney Crippen - 5’5” - Guard - AR - Woodz Elite - High Motor and skill to match, I loved that she played extremely hard all day (Sometimes looking injured but continued at high level) Dribble - drive player with good shooting form and footwork. Engaged defensively.
