Mooresville, NC – Last weekend Carolina Girls Hoops Report & NYGHoops Report hosted the 4th Annual I-77 Evaluation Showcase. Like in years past the event did not disappoint with prospects participating from Maryland, Virginia, NC & SC. This writeup will focus on prospects from 2026-2028.
96 Demi Johnson 5’6 Guard Team Takeover (DMV) 2026
Johnson is a prospect that will pop out on the national radar sooner than later. There were few players who bought the intensity on both ends of the court like Johnsen did last weekend. She did her share of scoring on both days, efficient three-level scorer that loved attacking the basket. She displayed range to the arc but was at her best in one on one and in transition. Used her upper body strength to finish with contact, this is a name we should get used to hearing in the future.
28 India Williams 5’5 Guard Palmeto 76ers (SC) 2026
India looked and played bigger that her listed size. She was by far one of the smoothest guards all weekend. At times everything looked effortless. She showed the ability to score at such a calming pace throughout the event. Williams Kept defenders off balance sometimes attacking of the bounce and at other times using her perimeter touch from downtown.
76 Cece Corbey 5’4 PG Cap City Ballerz (VA) 2026
At first glance, she looks like the harmless little girl next door. Buts as soon as play started it did not take long to see that this young floor general could play. Corbey’s, feel for the game put her in position to make plays on both ends of the floor. She exhibited the ability to knock down shots and find teammates for easy baskets during her time at the event.
92 Laney Shook 5’9 Wing PEAK (NC)
It took some time for her get acclimated to the open free-lance style of play. But as soon as it clicked you can see right away, she’s a player. Shook can stretch the floor with her shooting ability. As she continues to add strength and grow into her frame, she will become a stat sheet stuffer at the High school level. She made some high IQ plays that equate to winning.
99 Chase Thomas 5’9 Guard Palmetto 76ers (SC) 2026
Lefty combo that played equally as well on or off the ball at the event. At times it can be hard to find young players who are willing to do the dirty work at these types of events. She played out of position as one of the taller girls on her team and never hesitated or complained about it. The well-rounded guard will be one to follow very closely in the future. She plays bigger than her listed size, good outlet passer, figured out how to balance scoring and sharing the ball with teammates.
25 Treasure Davis 5’4 PG One Force (NC) 2028
She was one of the younger campers at the event but played well beyond her years. Displayed the ability to get into the lane and finish at a high rate. She knew how to utilize her physical tools. The young floor general was poise and confident at times directing teammates displaying leadership qualities. Even when not in the game she was totally locked into the game and cheering for teammates she did not know.
100 Brianna Stanley 5’3 Point Guard, 1 of 1 Elite (NC) 2026
The athletic strong built lead guard was a threat attacking the basket drawing fouls and finishing at the basket with either hand. During her two days at the event, she did a bunch of scoring either attacking the rim or from behind the arc. Stanley is the type of player that is going to add value to a roster for several reasons. She is a name to keep an eye out for during her freshman year.
