This past weekend the NCAA hosted the Final Four in Dallas, Texas. A few miles away in the suburbs of Southlake, Elite Girls Basketball hosted its Middle School All American games. This write up focuses on the two six grade games (2023). This was my first time seeing many of these players. Below are a list of players that stood out to me:
Kristian Harris 5'07 (G) Team Sol
Harris had a nice showing at the EGBAAG. The skilled & athletic guard continuously found her way to the basket. She used her ball handling skills to set defenders up and also showed the ability to shot from midrange and from behind the arc.
Xamiya Walton 5'02 PG Il X-Citement 2024
The youngest player at the event never looked out of place. This young buck was cool, calm and collective on the court. She is an efficient scorer with a handles while showing the ability to connect from behind the arc.
Gisella Maul 5'06 (G) Cy-Fair Shooters
Maul is a lefty, athletic scoring threat. She did a very good job attacking the rim while also showing the ability to score using both hands. She also did a good job getting to the free throw line.
Nevaeh Foster 5'06 (G) MBA Select
Long & lean slasher who gets to the line and converts. Her game is built for transition.
Zaria Lewis 5'07 (W) Exodus NYC
Strong built combo forward, has noise for scoring and rebounding. Finished through contact and dependable stright line ball handler.
Courtney Ogden 5'07 (G) FGB YoungGuns
Skilled smooth yoyo handles with mid-range jumper.
Zakiya Stephenson 5'05 (G) BWSL Norfolk Express
Long, strong slasher with nice pull up & mid-range jumper
