Hampton, VA –EGB Media duplicated the level of success of Elite 100, on east coast with the East Coast Elite 100 event. ECE100 was in a collaborative effort with NY Based NYGHoops Report; took place this past weekend at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. The latent rich event housed prospects from as far south as Texas and as far north as New Jersey in its first year. Part one of this event write up will focus on some of the Junior High prospects.

Samantha Wagner 6’00 G (TX) 2023
Wagner was a huge surprise at the ECE100, flying into Hampton/ Virginia Beach area for the one day camp. I’ve not seen every prospect in her class yet, but it did not take long to see she will be at the top of the food chain in her class for sure at the event.

Kymora Johnson 5’6 PG (VA)* 2023
This was my first time seeing this young lady. Johnson held her own against many of the older players at the event. Listed as a PG but at the event she showed a penchant to score and rebounding at the ECE100. Creative and deceptive in her scoring approach mostly attacking the rim.

Olivia Brooks 6’01 F (VA) 2022
Got a chance to see her twice over the weekend at ECE100 and at Serious Hoops event in Maryland. Usually it’s a bit difficult for post players to stand out at camps, but Brooks made her presence known at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. She caught the ball with ease, used her size to her advantage sealing defenders and finishing verses older post. As he continues to develop she will be for sure a scholarship player.

Iyanna Rogers 6’02 F (VA) 2021
Rogers has roots in the New Jersey area, so I had some familiarity with her. But I was impressed with the improvements she has made from NYG March Madness to ECE100. Not yet a finished product, however Rogers size, ability and willingness to run the floor the floor jumps right out at you. She did not shy away from contact. She was most effective playing facing the rim, competed and was presence defensively blocking shots.

Madisen McDaniel 5’01 PG (MD) 2024
While she is a long ways away from talks of college; this pint size PG is a name to remember. Her game is fully equipped and showed a skill sets of an older player. While also packing some swagger to her game.

I'Iah Javella 5’04 PG (VA) 2022
Javella was a very smooth lead guard that showed the ability to balance the load of running a team and scoring. She used her quickness to her advantage in creating off the bounce. What caught my eye about this young guard was she did play fast but under control.

Sydni Scott 5’08 G (PA) 2022
Very familiar with this Philly product. Scott’s change of pace/strength in the open court allowed her to create her own shot when she wanted during five on five play at ECE100. She also showed the ability to connect from behind the arc. Scotts combination of scoring ability, size, atheism and willingness to share the ball and defend will get her an athletic scholarship at some D1 level.
