Nashville, TN- Last week, Insider Exposure hosted the Apache Memorial Showcase in the greater Nashville, TN area. The third year event has quickly become a pivotal player in the summer recruiting period with over 150 teams and college coaches from all over the United States. NYGHoops Report was in attendance for this two-day event. Many players were deserving of being in this write up but these were some of junior high players I had a chance to see play more than one game.
Makailan Zeigler 6’00 Wing 1 Nation16U(MI) 2020
Showed enough in 16U play, to impress me. She logged meaningful minutes and did not look out of place. At times she played on the wing other as primary ball handler. She has a college ready frame, nice range on her shot and the strength to finish at the rim with contact. She will be a force to be wrecking with for the next few summers.
Devyn Scott 5’07 PG IExcel 14u (NY/NJ) 2020
There are some Junior high players who require some nuance in figuring out why they will be good HS prospect. However, Scott not one of those players. This young player played up a few level, but played beyond her years on the court she never let the defense speed her up. She played under control, showed the ability to knock down the mid range pull up jumper continuously.
Audia Young 5’06 PG NFL Elite Future (FL) 2022
Was a little ball handling wizard that cut threw defenses like a hot knife threw butter. She showed the ability to play at multiple speeds and made assisted on multiple easy baskets. Offensively she got into the lane and created havoc both scoring and facilitating for teammates.
At first glance Dakota, was always the smallest player on the court playing up a level. however, she did not play her size the creative ball handler that got into the lane as distributor but also showed the ability shoot from the perimeter.
Dorrione Rogers 5’10 G Bolingbrook Panthers 15U (IL) 2020
Lethal scorer with college ready frame. She did most of her damage off the bounce attacking the rim and at the free throw line. She mostly played point, in college will be a wing, at times she looked like a woman amongst girls.
Sean Kelly Darks 5’07 PG Cincinnati Phenom 2020 (OH) 2020
Played bigger than her listed size, smooth guard that showed the ability to score from all three levels. She was very fluid on the ball, playing facilitator or creating for her self.
Keteri Poole 5’08 G New Heights 19/20 (NY) 2020
Poole plays up in a 15U, however this rising freshman did not look overwhelmed. Poole a combo with nice size, shooting touch, strength, deceptive quick’s and tricks in attacking the rim.
Khori Louis 6'02 W/F NFL Elite Future 2021
Trinity Jones 5’05 PG GA Sparks (GA) 2020
Makenzie Helms 5’07 G New Heights (NY) 2019
Gabrielle Elliott 5’11 W/F Michigan Storm (MI) 2020
Janaysia Brown 6’02 F New Heights (NY) 2020
Taylor Abraham 6’01 F Riverside Hawks (NY) 2020
Rachel Smith 5’00 G Team Slink 15U (NY) 2022
Kayla Morris 6'02 F IExcel 14U (NY/NJ) 2020
